I can't believe my baby is 1! It is hard to believe that one year ago today he came into this world as a little 7 pound blessing that changed our family to a family of 5! I will never forget that day and how excited we were when the doctor pulled him out and said "IT'S A BOY!!!" What a wonderful year it has been. Crazy, chaotic, and overwhelming at times, yes, but also wonderful. We don't know what we would do without this little man. Wow, how fast a year flies! Today we had a penguin party for our little "aardvark" as Justin calls him (you know Justin). Here are some photos from the day.

So Justin wanted to take photos of the whole family in our Alabama shirts. He used them in a presentation at work. They were pretty funny so I thought I would share them!

He was trying to get Harrison and Lucy to show their muscles and make a tough face. Harrison was a little difficult. In the photo above, he just looks cold.

Our Precious New Addition!

In case someone out there does not know, we had our new little one and he is a boy contrary to what we thought for nine months. Justin and I had predicted we would have a girl! It was such a surprise! We named him Parker Williams Daigre. He is so precious and we are now trying to get used to having a family of five! These are his one month photos.

This year for Christmas, we were here in West Virginia at our own house. It is the first year since we have been married that we have spent Christmas at our house. We have a pretty good reason this year. Itty Bitty is due in 3 weeks so we couldn't travel. We missed seeing family and we thought we would post some photos so they could see what went on here in WV. Some of these were actually taken at Thanksgiving in Decatur or a couple of weeks ago when Grammy and Papa came up to visit. The above photo is Harrison on his new bike that we got him. He was really excited to see it under the tree on Christmas morning. It is his first bike which is a pretty big deal. According to Justin, getting your first bike is a right of passage into childhood.

Harrison and Lucy are getting so big! We took some pictures today and thought we would share them! As far as my pregnancy, I am now 25 weeks pregnant and the little one is getting big and moving a lot. We are not finding out what the sex is so we won't know until January. But everything is going well and Harrison can't wait to meet his new baby brother or sister. Lucy doesn't have a clue what is coming!

We took the kids to the Children's Museum today in Pittsburgh. The word on the street was that there was a Curious George exhibit there and so of course we had to go check it out. The kids had a blast and we did see George! We had plans to stop at a candy factory on the way home, but Harrison and Lucy were passed out in the back seat so we just kept driving. They loved the museum and here are some pictures from our day!

We also went camping last weekend. Yes, I said camping. And I meant tent camping with both children! Harrison did great and loved it. Lucy loved it part of the time. She did well for a 1 year old camping. We will put it that way. We went with our small group from church, so there were several kiddos there. If you are wondering why Lucy is naked in one picture and in a sweat suit in another, it is because one day it was raining and cold and the next day it was sunny and warm. Wierd weather up here! We had a great time, and we actually slept pretty well, all in one big tent!

Here is our sweet LuLu looking out her window. The kids are getting so big! Harrison is 3, Lucy is almost 17 months, and for anyone who does not know, we are having another baby in January. I'm sure everyone already knows, but we haven't officially announced it on the blog yet. Our 20 week ultrasound is next week, but we are not finding out what we are having. I will try to post some photos of the little guy or girl when we get them!

We took the kids to Idlewild amusement and water park this past weekend in Pennsylvania, and we all had a blast! We spent about 8 hours there so we were all exhausted, but the kids absolutely loved it! Even Lucy got to ride some of the rides. Here are some pictures from the weekend!

These are some pictures from Harrison's 3rd birthday! He had his party at the park and Mamaw and Papaw were able to be here! He had a great birthday and we can't believe he is 3 years old! Above is just a random picture of the kids brushing their teeth. I thought they looked really cute. And if you are wondering why there are pictures of a toilet and a sink in the middle of all these, it is because Pop and Justin worked on finishing our downstairs bathroom last week! It looks really great! We really appreciate their help!

We bought the kids a swing set for their birthdays this year, and Justin spent hours putting the thing together. He spent a lot of time and worked really hard on it and it is finally done! Harrison and Lucy love it and so do the rest of the kids in the neighborhood! Our yard is now the gathering place since we have the corner yard with the swing set. But that is how we wanted it. If it is pretty outside, it is never boring! Lucy can already climb all the way up the ladder by herself and Harrison can climb the rock wall by himself.

I told Justin that we were going to get beat up around here with those Alabama flags blowing in the wind. We are in Mountaineer country here.

We went to the WVU farm with some of our friends. The kids got to pet the animals and they had a blast! This is Harrison and his little friend, Taylor.

Our Lucy is 1 year old now! Her birthday was yesterday, March 24th. We didn't really have a party, because all our family couldn't be here, so we are having her party in a week and a half when we go to Alabama. So there will be more birthday pictures to come! Grammy surprised us this week and came to visit for mine and Lucy's birthday! It was a great surprise! We did make Lucy a cake yesterday, and she absolutely loved it!

More Snow!

So Justin, the kids and I went driving around to take pictures right after the huge snow storm on Saturday. Probably not a very bright idea. We ended up getting the car stuck in deep snow, and some guys in a truck had to come help push our car out of the snow! We did get some beautiful pictures though!

This is the road we got stuck on. As we were going up that hill, the car started sliding back and spinning. We backed up and tried to turn around in that entrance to the pasture on the right and that is where we got stuck in the snow.

We thought we would post some photos of the results of our huge snow storm. We currently have over a foot of snow. Harrison couldn't even walk in it. There are a lot of power outages (not us, thank the Lord), and the roads are closed. There are a couple of more storms heading our way this week too from what I hear.

This is a new pastime of Justin's (shoveling snow). He said he spent an entire hour of his life out there shoveling snow this morning, and he will never get that hour back. It was snow covered again about an hour after he finished. Haha!

After Justin shoveled the snow, there were piles in our yard. It almost buried our light post.

Lucy is now 10 months old

Sarah and Carter came for a few days to visit! We had a great time! It was just like old times. As you can see here, all Lucy and Carter cared about in the tub was sucking down as much dirty bath water as they could before we took away the wash cloths.

I love pictures of sleeping babies. These are a few of Lucy sleeping. She is so precious!

Grammy came to visit this month too. She kept the kiddos while Justin and I went skiing. You can hardly see Harrison in this picture. It was about 10 degrees, so he was pretty bundled.

Isn't he beautiful? Justin always talks about how perfect his hair is. Perfect hair is something we know nothing about around our house. Everyone knows what Justin, Harrison, and Lucy's looks like and mine always has rats in it. (That was for you, Jess)

So it is our first winter here in West Virginia, and it has been snowing now for about 24 hours straight. We are under a state of emergency and all of the roads here are supposedly closed. Justin is at work of coarse. Nothing stops a resident from going to work. Justin and I had a great time sledding this morning. We put olive oil on our sled and went flying down the hills in our neighborhood! Lucy was napping and as you can see from the picture above, Harrison hated the snow. He did not like the snowflakes blowing in his face at all so he decided to cry the whole time we were out there. Oh well, we will try again tomorrow. He did sled down the hill in my lap once.

These are some pictures from our first of many snows here in West Virginia. Harrison loved playing in the snow! At first he did not know what to think, but he enjoyed the snow and the hot chocolate that he got after playing in the snow. I can't say what Lucy thinks about her first snow because she was asleep the whole time we were playing in it! She won't get to enjoy it this year but I am sure next year she will be running around in it too! It was really beautiful - definitely different from Mobile.

Uncle Val, Aunt Jessie, Jackson, and Baylor came to visit this past week. Justin did not know they were coming so it was a great surprise! He was really excited! Our New Playroom!

We were really blessed to be able to finish our basement over the past couple of months. Thanks to Gamaw and Papaw, we now have a new playroom! Pop worked really hard the week that he was here framing it and doing the electrical work. We had the sheet rock and trim done, I painted the walls and the trim, and then we had the carpet put in this past week! Grammy was here this week and helped us get the room put together. She also made curtains for us! Thank you Pop, Mrs. Cindy, and Grammy for making this room happen! We all love it! Harrison wants to stay down there all day long!

My parents and Grandparents came up to Morgantown this weekend to help us do our landscaping. My dad made the plan for the yard and they brought a uhaul trailer full of plants. Everyone worked really hard all weekend, and we got it all done! It looks awesome! We had a lot of fun doing it too!

Our neighbor, Sande, had the great idea to let the kids paint with pudding today. It was a lot of fun. They have three little girls, Lana, Shay, and Brylee. Harrison loves playing with them. They were all covered in pudding by the end of it!

Above is our latest family picture that we took by the pond in our neighborhood. Below are some pictures from Kid's Day this past weekend. They had a lot of tents and activities for kids downtown. Harrison got free ice cream, cotton candy, suckers, cookies, and popcorn, so he had a great time. It was unexpectedly cold that morning and we were in summer clothes. That is why Lucy was wrapped in a blanket.

So we found out today that we still won't have internet for a couple of months! So I am at my sweet neighbor's house posting these pictures so that grandparents won't have a heart attack. We are successfully moved into our house in Morgantown, West Virginia and so far we really like it here! We love our house and we have some great neighbors. Here is our beautiful little girl, Lucy! She is growing so fast! These are the last photos we will be posting from Mobile, Alabama. Justin has lived here for 5 years and I have lived here for 4. It will always hold a special place in my heart I know because it was our first home as a married couple, our first house, and it was where we had our first two children. We are moving to West Virginia this week to start a new 5 year adventure! We would appreciate your prayers!

My Bible study group had a party last night on the bay. We had a great time!

I love these girls so much! They are all so special to me, and I will miss them so much. They have helped me through a lot of hard times! It is really sad to be leaving them. Of course there is one very important person missing from this picture, and that is you, Sarah! I miss you so much! It just didn't seem right without you and Chuck there!

We Bought A House!!

Justin and I went to Morgantown last week to find a place to live, and we bought a house! These are some pictures of it. It is still being built, so we got to pick out the countertops, carpet, lighting, and appliances. We are super excited! The Lord really blessed our trip. We had a small amount of time to accomplish a lot and we were all sick. Lucy and I ended up driving to Decatur and riding with Mrs. Cindy and Pop because flying could have damaged her ears with her being sick. So it was a long week, but the Lord closed some doors and He opened the door for this house! This will be our home for the next five years! We are so thankful to Mrs. Cindy and Pop for going with us and helping us too. We couldn't have done it without you guys!

This is considered a big yard for up there. And it is one of the few flat yards that we saw. There are hills everywhere up there.

Great Weekend!

This weekend was great! Val, Jessica, Jackson, and Birdie came to visit, and Justin was actually off all weekend! It is the beginning of his vacation, so we get to have him for a whole week! We all had a great time of fellowship! It is definitely different than when we would visit each other 2 1/2 years ago, because now there are three little boys in the house. Poor Lucy will be outnumbered on the Daigre side of the family when she gets here. Jackson and Harrison had so much fun together. They play very well and always have a great time! We really enjoyed them being here. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Chuck, Sarah, and Carter came over for dinner one night and we then had four little boys in the house! We put the three older ones in the bath together. Birdie wanted to get in too, but he still has a little bit of growing to do first.

I am now almost 32 weeks pregnant which means I have 8 weeks until my due date! We are very excited about Lucy coming. I don't think Harrison has a clue what is about to happen. His name is Baylor Davis Daigre. He is also known as "Birdie" to Harrison and Jackson. We adults have actually started calling him that also. He was born on November 24th. Harrison has enjoyed getting ready for Christmas this year. He is still to young to know too much about it. He has no idea why we have a tree in our living room with lights on it, but he does know that he likes it. Every morning after he gets up, he looks at the dark tree and says "Christmas tree on!" We have been trying to teach him that Jesus' birthday is soon, so he also likes to say "Happy day Jesus." Here are some pictures that we have taken the past few weeks.

Today, at church, our pastor spoke about thankfulness which wasn't a surprise since Thanksgiving is this week. But he also talked about being joyful and how most people that you see today, even Christians, are not joyful. We are all so focused on ourselves and what we lack that we fail to realize the amazing blessings God has bestowed on us. He told a story about a 14 year old girl who lost part of her leg in an accident. Her therapist met her for therapy after her surgery to find her just as bubbly and joyful as she was before. "Look how much I have left!" she said, as she held up her leg. "The doctors say it will be much easier to attach a prosthesis since they were able to keep some of the leg below the knee!" This 14 year old girl inspired me. She chose not to focus on what she lacked but on how much she did have.
I began to examine my own heart and attitude only to realize that I often focus on what we lack, one of those things being time with Justin. Since he is a resident, his time with us is very limited. I see others who have their husbands around more and whose children get to see their Daddy all the time, and I become jealous. I often become heartbroken when Harrison wakes up in the morning asking for Daddy and I have to tell him that he is at work yet again. But what I realized this morning was that focusing on what we lack only drowns out the joy in our lives. I started thinking about how awesome Sundays are, and how thankful I am for that day of the week. You see, right now, Justin is off on Sundays. Harrison and I cherish that day of the week that we get to spend with him. I am very grateful that he is able to spend that whole day with us each week. It brings joy to my heart to be able to tell Harrison on Sunday mornings "Daddy is home today" and to hear him say with excitement in his voice, "Daddy home day!" His face just lights up when he is with his Daddy, and that is something to look forward to every week! We are so thankful for Justin and for what he is to us. We are thankful that no matter how demanding his job may be, we will always be his first priority. We may lack the quantity of time with him, but we are thankful that the time we do have is quality time! I just thought I would write this to encourage you all to focus on the blessings in your lives and to be joyful in the Lord, no matter what your circumstances.

Harrison dressed as a rooster this year for Halloween. He loves Papaw's rooster so we found this costume to be appropriate for him. He learned to say "trick -or- treat" and he also learned very quickly that when he said it, people gave him candy. We only trick -or- treated at 3 houses and then we went to a party with some of our other friends with babies. Harrison had a blast! He loved his costume!

Carter was Woodstock and his mom and dad were Charlie Brown and Sally.

A Day at Seward Farms

Justin, Harrison, and I went to Seward Farms today. It was beautiful weather and we all had a great time! We went through a corn maze, petted the animals, had a picnic, played with the pumpkins, went on a hayride, and Harrison and Justin rode a cow train. Harrison's favorite things were the cow train and the petting farm. He talked about the animals the rest of the day. He keeps saying "neigh" and "moo."

Our Trip to Decatur

Justin is working out of town some this month in Mississippi, so Harrison and I took a trip to Decatur to see family. Although he got sick and had a fever while we were there, he still managed to have a good time. Grandparents are always fun!

This is Harrison's new castle. It is actually used, but is new to us. Grammy and Poppa found it in the paper! He absolutely loves it! He loves playing peek-a-boo with the door, and there is a slide on the other side that he loves too!
