More Snow!

So Justin, the kids and I went driving around to take pictures right after the huge snow storm on Saturday. Probably not a very bright idea. We ended up getting the car stuck in deep snow, and some guys in a truck had to come help push our car out of the snow! We did get some beautiful pictures though!

This is the road we got stuck on. As we were going up that hill, the car started sliding back and spinning. We backed up and tried to turn around in that entrance to the pasture on the right and that is where we got stuck in the snow.

He dug a tunnel through the snow castle and crawled through it. Earlier, he did that and it collapsed on his face.

Snowed In!

We thought we would post some photos of the results of our huge snow storm. We currently have over a foot of snow. Harrison couldn't even walk in it. There are a lot of power outages (not us, thank the Lord), and the roads are closed. There are a couple of more storms heading our way this week too from what I hear.

This is a new pastime of Justin's (shoveling snow). He said he spent an entire hour of his life out there shoveling snow this morning, and he will never get that hour back. It was snow covered again about an hour after he finished. Haha!
After Justin shoveled the snow, there were piles in our yard. It almost buried our light post.

Our neighborhood. The roads look much better here because the plow truck had just come through.
The snow is cold and often ruins our plans, but it IS very beautiful!

January Photos

Harrison and Lucy playing in the crib.

Look at those beautiful smiles! They are so precious!

Lucy is now 10 months old

Sarah and Carter came for a few days to visit! We had a great time! It was just like old times. As you can see here, all Lucy and Carter cared about in the tub was sucking down as much dirty bath water as they could before we took away the wash cloths.

I love pictures of sleeping babies. These are a few of Lucy sleeping. She is so precious!

Grammy came to visit this month too. She kept the kiddos while Justin and I went skiing. You can hardly see Harrison in this picture. It was about 10 degrees, so he was pretty bundled.

Christmas Photos and More!

We had a wonderful Christmas! Justin got Christmas off so we were able to go to Decatur to spend it with our families. We had two new little ones with us this year. It was Lucy and Palmer's first Christmas!

Another great gift from Uncle Scott and Aunt Mel

Sadly, this was Justin's first time to meet his nephew, Palmer. He is so precious!

Watching a movie with Mamaw

Jackson turned 3 on the 27th and had a big Veggie Tales Pirate party! It was a lot of fun!

Isn't he beautiful? Justin always talks about how perfect his hair is. Perfect hair is something we know nothing about around our house. Everyone knows what Justin, Harrison, and Lucy's looks like and mine always has rats in it. (That was for you, Jess)

Mamaw and Papaw with Jackson and Harrison in front of the camper or trailer as Harrison called it. They parked that thing in Jessica and Marshall's driveway and the boys slept in it with them. Harrison loved it!

Apparently we need to get Lucy a black coat.

Harrison looks like he is about 5 years old here to me

I have no idea what Harrison is doing back there

Harrison's breakfast (green eggs and ham.... and raisin toast)

This is Lucy's favorite thing to do the whole time Harrison is eating

By the way, we have a ton of snow. I miss the Mobile heat at times to be honest. The snow is fun but it gets old really fast. Harrison and I had been shoveling the snow out of our driveway so that Justin could get in from work. I piled it up and buried him in it. He thought it was fun!

First Snowman

This is the kids' first snowman. He is little, but that is the best we could do!

More Snow Pictures!

We had a blast in the snow this morning! Lucy took about a two hour nap so we were able to stay out for a long time, and Harrison loved it today. He didn't cry and he really liked sledding.
He went down the bigger hills in our laps, but he did this small one by himself

The snow came up to his knees

Winter in West Virginia!

So it is our first winter here in West Virginia, and it has been snowing now for about 24 hours straight. We are under a state of emergency and all of the roads here are supposedly closed. Justin is at work of coarse. Nothing stops a resident from going to work. Justin and I had a great time sledding this morning. We put olive oil on our sled and went flying down the hills in our neighborhood! Lucy was napping and as you can see from the picture above, Harrison hated the snow. He did not like the snowflakes blowing in his face at all so he decided to cry the whole time we were out there. Oh well, we will try again tomorrow. He did sled down the hill in my lap once.

Lucy's Pig Tails

I just liked this little picture of Lucy with her pig tails so I thought I would share it with everyone. Isn't she beautiful?! She is almost 9 months old now. She loves to clap, she says "mama" and "bye bye" a lot, and she started crawling last week. Our baby girl is getting so big so fast!

Harrison and Lucy's First Snow!

These are some pictures from our first of many snows here in West Virginia. Harrison loved playing in the snow! At first he did not know what to think, but he enjoyed the snow and the hot chocolate that he got after playing in the snow. I can't say what Lucy thinks about her first snow because she was asleep the whole time we were playing in it! She won't get to enjoy it this year but I am sure next year she will be running around in it too! It was really beautiful - definitely different from Mobile.

Christmas is Near!

We bought a Christmas tree and decorated it this weekend. Harrison had fun hanging the ornaments and Lucy had fun playing with the boxes.

We stayed with Sarah, Chuck, and Carter last weekend in Lexington. Here we are ready for the Alabama game except Sarah who is sporting her Mississippi State shirt of course.
